After years of wood carving and selling my work I often wondered how a carver got an article written about his work. I have read stories of famous woodcarvers like Elmer Crowell or the decoy makers like the Ward brothers written up in popular magazines but how does it happen? And now I know and the answer is keep your shop open and do quality work. In 2017 I was approached by Yankee Magazine and they stated they had bought work at my gallery and thought I would be a great New Englander for their publication. So in the 2018 March/April issue I was featured in the Open Studio section with a delightful story written by Annie Graves and photographed by Kindra Clienff. Now the issue has been printed but one can still read the online story archived at this Yankee website.
